Pro Juventute’s ‘wup’ app

Pro Juventute has been dedicated to supporting the rights and needs of Swiss children and youth since 1912. They run the 147 helpline for children and are focusing on media literacy among youth and parents.
Privately has developed the ‘wup’ application for Projuventute building on extensive technology from its OWAS stack. The app is a personal wellbeing assistant for children that runs privately on their mobile devices. There is a dedicated keyboard which offers safeguarding across apps by offering real-time interventions , suggestions and resources. Technology which can detect risks and threats both on text as well as images is working to assist children realtime. Movement and screentime measures make sure children are encouraged to use their devices in a helthy manner. The app is available in German and soon in French and Italian.
